Shaki is one of the loveliest cities located in the north of the country. Some of the main attractions in this city are Palace of Shaki Khans – a residence built in 1797, Shaki Karavansaray – a historical monument, part of which is used as a hotel and “Galarsan – Gorarsan” – the name of the fortress translates as “come and see for yourself” since it was famous for remaining uncaptured under numerous attacks.  Sheki is very famous for its baklava, silk scarves and soup “Piti” - stew with vegetables in a clay pot.
