Colline du Château is a fortified structure in Nice, that was the historical site of the city. Castle hill takes its name from the historical castle of which very few remaining stands to our day. On this hill, there are many local cafes, giftshops, and breathtaking view to the sea and red-tiled rooftops of the city. The trees under which you can take your breath and enjoy the view of the artificial waterfall belonging to the 18th century remind a hidden gem in Nice city.
Built in late 19th century, Musée Masséna was once home to a Prince, now serves as a museum exhibiting the history of Riviera. The building is also an architectural landmark, that hosts unique ark works as well as historical items including Napoleon’s letters and death mask. Another museum in Nice is Musée Matisse, located 2 km away from the city center in the leafy Cimiez quarter. The museum hosts the works of Matisse.
Cours Saleya Markets in Nice are the favorite of the tourists, that consists of flower and food markets, that turns into a flea market on Monday for antiques. In these markets you can find fresh flowers and food, as well as unique local antiques on Mondays. Cours Saleya Markets is classified as one of France’s exceptional markets.
